Venzor Film School for Kids was born from a lifelong love of storytelling and filmmaking. Our founder, Michael Venzor, dedicating himself to teaching after working as a filmmaker and editor for more than two decades. Our school is a place where kids ages 8 to 15 can build creative confidence as they bring their own ideas to life.
Our team shares a profound belief in the power of storytelling to improve academics, relationships, and professionalism. Practicing creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking extends far beyond the classroom. Storytelling helps kids express themselves and ultimately thrive in whatever future they choose.
Our current three-week program takes students through every step of the filmmaking process: writing, directing, acting, shooting, and editing. By the end, your child will have created a film, but more importantly, will have developed valuable skills in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. You’ll be amazed at the growth in your child, both creatively and personally, through this hands-on journey.
And this is just the beginning for our school. We’re excited to expand our offerings with more courses and locations in the future, giving kids in every neighborhood in Brooklyn even more ways to explore their creativity. At Venzor Film School for Kids, we believe every child’s voice matters and every child has a story worth telling.

With more than twenty years of experience in production and post-production, Michael has taught filmmaking and editing to a wide range of students, combining a deep passion for cinema with clear, patient instruction. Michael has also managed and coordinated a wide variety of educational programs and curricula, always bringing an organized and student-centered approach.
